In the second incident, at a different establishment, both officers engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation. Curtis had prior reprimands for signing an inaccurate time card and using vulgar language toward a civilian. Following these incidents, he resigned from the department on February 1, 2017.
