Written by In April 2017, Lieutenant Gentry was implicated in an incident where inmate Kyle Wallace’s cell was flooded with contaminated water from another inmate’s cell. Wallace alleged that Gentry failed to address the unsanitary conditions for approximately 78 hours, leading to illness. Wallace filed a lawsuit alleging deliberate indifference to his health and safety. The case, Wallace v. Coffee County, was filed in April 2018 and is ongoing.
