In September 2021, Lt. Ed Adams was present during an incident where Lt. Sam Baker used excessive force against inmate Christopher Harris. Surveillance footage indicated that Adams stood by and did not intervene promptly to stop the assault. An internal investigation found that Adams failed to protect Harris in a timely manner. Additionally, in 2008, Adams had a history of excessive force, dishonesty, and falsifying records related to an incident involving a detainee.
