In 2019, Lt. Edward Vincent was named in a lawsuit by Deputy Teresa O’Brien alleging sexual harassment. Vincent was accused of making sexually charged comments and, on one occasion, pulling O’Brien toward him and kissing her on the head, which she viewed as unwanted. The lawsuit highlighted a broader culture of discrimination against female employees in the Sheriff’s Office.
