On March 18, 2025, Deputy Mark H. Kowaleski, 53, was charged with nine counts of indecent assault and one count of defiant trespass. The charges stem from an incident on February 26-27, 2025, where Kowaleski allegedly showed sexually explicit photos, made inappropriate sexual jokes, and inappropriately touched multiple individuals at a private residence and during a subsequent drive to a local bar. Kowaleski has been placed on administrative leave effective February 28, 2025.
