In 2017, during the arrest of Markeith Lloyd, officers punched, kicked, and hit him with rifles while he was unarmed and on his stomach with his arms stretched out. Lloyd lost one of his eyes as a result of the force used. The incident was investigated, and the use of force was found to be within policy.
