Matthew Sickler – Mercer County Sheriff’s Office

On August 20, 2022, off-duty Officer Sickler, visibly intoxicated, entered the Bordentown Best Western hotel lobby and directed anti-Semitic slurs at a guest. This escalated into a physical altercation where Sickler assaulted the guest. He was charged with disorderly conduct and suspended without pay. Additionally, in February 2023, Sickler was arrested for a domestic violence incident involving aggravated assault, terroristic threats, eluding, resisting arrest, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. He allegedly assaulted a woman, threatened her with a handgun, and made threats to kill her and himself. Sheriff Jack Kemler expressed zero tolerance for such behavior, emphasizing the violation of public trust. Our Mission

We're building a comprehensive database of police interactions to promote accountability and transparency in law enforcement.

  • View the Blog: Read about documented police interactions
  • Share Your Experience: Submit your own police interaction story
  • Browse the Forums: Check if your local law enforcement has been documented

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Violation of these rules will result in immediate content removal and possible account suspension.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
