Maxine Trahan – Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office

Former deputy and public information officer, allegedly stole $194,900 in cash from several parish law enforcement agencies between January 21, 2003, and February 3, 2016. The funds were intended for the asset forfeiture fund but were used for personal purposes. Trahan admitted to not making the required deposits and was arrested in April 2016, charged with felony theft. The case is pending.
