Michael C. Kidd – Virginia Beach Police Department

In June 2024, Deputy Michael C. Kidd, along with two other deputies, restrained inmate Rolin Hill at the Virginia Beach jail, resulting in Hill’s death from asphyxia. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide. Kidd was subsequently charged with second-degree murder and dismissed from the Sheriff’s Office.
