Michael C. Kidd – Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office

In June 2024, Deputy Michael C. Kidd, along with two other deputies, restrained inmate Rolin Hill, resulting in Hill’s death from asphyxia due to neck and torso compression. Kidd was charged with second-degree murder in January 2025 and was dismissed from the Sheriff’s Office.
