Sergeant Michael Johnson was arrested in 2017 for driving under the influence while off duty. His blood alcohol content was found to be twice the legal limit. Following the incident, he was demoted to the rank of deputy and placed on probation for one year. Additionally, he was required to attend substance abuse counseling.
