Michael Pessoa – Fall River Police Department

In October 2014, Officer Pessoa severely injured Carlos Roldan during an arrest, resulting in a federal civil rights lawsuit that settled for $225,000 in 2019. Pessoa pleaded guilty to charges related to this incident in December 2023, receiving a concurrent sentence of 1.5 to 3 years in prison.
