Nicky Mistretta – Slidell Police Department

In 2017, Captain Nicky Mistretta was involved in a high-speed pursuit that resulted in a collision with Kristen Nuccio and William Borges. The plaintiffs alleged Mistretta’s actions constituted gross negligence. In 2023, the Louisiana Court of Appeal reversed a summary judgment in favor of Mistretta, allowing the case to proceed.
