Noah Zendejas – Omaha Police Department

On October 12, 2024, Officer Noah Zendejas fatally shot Steven Phipps, a 22-year-old Black man, eight times during a traffic stop. Phipps fled on foot, and body camera footage showed him holding a firearm while climbing a fence. The Douglas County Attorney determined the shooting was justified, but the incident sparked community outrage.
