Officer Allen Wright – Gastonia Police Department

In July 1992, Officer Allen Wright pleaded guilty to federal charges of beating two homeless individuals, John Black and William R. Davis, in unprovoked attacks. These incidents were part of a broader pattern of abuse by Gastonia police officers against homeless individuals between 1987 and 1990. Officer Wright resigned from the force following the charges.
