Officer Blake Stinson – Cody Police Department

In January 2023, Officer Stinson conducted a traffic stop involving a 17-year-old driver near a local high school. During the stop, Stinson forcibly removed the teenager from the vehicle, leading to public outcry after the incident was widely publicized. Following the release of the video, Stinson was placed on paid administrative leave in May 2023 while an internal investigation was conducted. The investigation reviewed his conduct to determine compliance with department policies, including standards of conduct and use of force. Upon completion, Stinson returned to duty, with the department implementing policy recommendations from a third-party consultant to address concerns raised by the complaint.
