Officer Erica Marrero – Aurora Police Department

In July 2020, Officer Erica Marrero was fired for participating in photos that mocked the death of Elijah McClain. Marrero, along with Officers Kyle Dittrich and Jaron Jones, took photos reenacting the chokehold used on McClain near the site of his arrest. The photos were deemed ‘a crime against humanity and decency’ by the interim police chief.
