Officer Hieu Tran – Camden County Sheriff’s Office

On May 17, 2024, off-duty Officer Tran shot 30-year-old Kishan Patel in the head during a road rage incident in Voorhees, New Jersey, leaving Patel quadriplegic. Tran, who had known alcohol and mental health issues, was charged with attempted murder and other offenses. A lawsuit alleges the department should not have allowed him to carry a weapon.
