Officer Kristen Peterson – Cheyenne Police Department

On August 11, 2023, Officer Kristen Peterson assisted Sgt. Eric Norris in the arrest of Myron Martize Woods at the Big Horn Motel. Woods alleges that Peterson participated in using excessive force during the arrest, which included being shoved into a wall, tased, and handcuffed. Woods filed a lawsuit against both officers, claiming violations of his Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. The case is ongoing as of September 2024.
