In April 2022, Officer Rose Valentino was caught on body camera using a racial slur while on duty near Western Hills University High School. She was terminated from the department in August 2022. Valentino had a history of prior reprimands, including a 2019 lawsuit for illegally detaining a Black realtor and client, and a 2020 conviction for disorderly conduct.
