Officer Stephanie Berge – El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office

In November 2013, Corrections Officer Stephanie Berge was investigated for engaging in an on-duty sexual relationship with another officer. The encounters occurred in the bathroom of the control tower at the South Lake Tahoe Jail during times when officers were supposed to be monitoring inmates. Berge expressed fear of retaliation from the other officer involved. She resigned from her position in December 2013.
