Officer Vincent Pistone – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department

In November 2023, Officer Vincent Pistone was involved in the arrest of Christina Pierre and Anthony Lee near South Tryon and West Arrowood Road. During the arrest, Pistone struck Pierre 17 times in the thigh while she was restrained on the ground. An internal investigation concluded that 14 of these strikes were unjustified, leading to a 40-hour suspension for Pistone. The incident sparked public outcry and discussions about police use of force policies. Pierre and Lee’s attorney announced plans to file a civil lawsuit against the department.
