Former Boston Police officer and union president Patrick Rose was accused in 1995 of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy. Despite an internal affairs investigation sustaining the allegations, Rose was allowed to return to duty and later became the president of the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association. In 2020, he was charged with molesting six children over a 27-year period and pleaded guilty in 2022, receiving a 10-year minimum prison sentence.
