Patrick Schaeffer – Strafford County Sheriff’s Office

Former jail guard Patrick Schaeffer was indicted in October 2023 on multiple counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault and Felonious Sexual Assault. He is accused of sexually assaulting female inmates at the Strafford County House of Corrections during 2019 and 2020. The assaults allegedly occurred in the jail’s laundry room and involved coercion and threats. Schaeffer now resides in San Antonio, Texas, and a trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.
