On February 26, 2019, Sergeant Pete Chytla was involved in an officer-involved shooting following a high-speed chase that ended in Elizabethtown. The suspect was critically injured. Sgt. Chytla, along with seven other officers from various agencies, was placed on administrative leave as per standard procedure. The suspect’s identity and further details were not disclosed.
