Peter E. Karpovich – Connecticut State Marshal

In July 2021, former State Marshal Peter E. Karpovich was arrested and charged with second-degree larceny after allegedly collecting over $12,300 from six complainants without remitting the funds appropriately. His badge was revoked in September 2020 due to failure to turn over client funds in a timely manner. Karpovich’s attorney noted that his wife’s death three years prior had impacted his ability to manage accounts and paperwork. He was held on a $15,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on July 22, 2021.

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
