Richard Gooddine – East Point Police Department

Former Sergeant Richard Gooddine was accused of sexually assaulting three women and two teenage girls over a seven-year period from 2011 to 2018. Allegations included molesting two girls under 16 and inappropriately touching three women during arrests. He was indicted on 17 charges, including child molestation and aggravated sexual battery. In 2018, he was fired after a fourth complaint of sexual misconduct. In 2019, he was acquitted on seven counts, with the jury deadlocked on the remaining 10 counts.
