Deputy Ronald Thaeter was terminated from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office after engaging in the creation and distribution of sexually explicit photographs and videos on the internet for economic gain without obtaining prior approval for outside employment. These actions were found to violate the Police Officer Code of Ethics, resulting in his dismissal. Thaeter contested the termination, but the decision was upheld in court.
