Written by In April 2022, deputy and victim advocate Sabrina Mellerson was arrested for misconduct in office and embezzlement of less than $10,000 in public funds. She was responsible for managing the sex offender registry and allegedly stole cash payments from sex offenders that were supposed to be deposited to the county treasurer’s office. Mellerson’s case is pending in circuit court.
