Sandy Gomez – Coral Springs Police Department

Officer Gomez was captured on video kneeing a handcuffed suspect, Gabriel Narcisse Beckford, during an arrest on December 4, 2018. Beckford was accused of shoplifting and allegedly attempted to take an officer’s gun before being tased and handcuffed. Gomez pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery, received 12 months probation, was required to complete a 13-week anger management course, and pay $645 in court costs.
