School Resource Officer Scott Roundy – Teton County Sheriff’s Office

School Resource Officer Scott Roundy conducted interviews with students regarding sexual assault allegations without notifying school administrators, contrary to the Teton County Sheriff’s Office Policy and Procedures Manual. He also videotaped these interviews without informing the students, placing his body camera on the counter and recording without disclosure. Parents later complained about Roundy’s conduct, stating that their children were led into videotaped interrogations without proper explanation or support. These actions were highlighted in the lawsuit Crothers v. Teton County Sheriff Carr, No. 22-CV-028-NDF.

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
