Sergeant Benjamin Scheen – Klamath County Sheriff’s Office

In December 2021, Sergeant Benjamin Scheen was charged with third-degree sexual abuse and sexual harassment in Lane County. The charges stemmed from a July 2020 incident in Eugene, where Scheen allegedly subjected a woman to unwanted, intimate touching without her consent. The woman, engaged to a former Klamath County deputy, reported the incident, leading to the charges. Scheen pleaded not guilty, and his trial was scheduled for March 2022. The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office modified his duties during the investigation and planned an internal review following the legal proceedings.
