In July 2015, Sergeant Gary Cross allegedly sexually harassed and assaulted a female deputy, including searching her phone without permission, requesting nude photos, and attempting to kiss her without consent. The deputy reported the incident in 2018, leading to legal action against the Sheriff’s Office.
