Sergeant Richard Jones – Pasco County Sheriff’s Office

In 2023, Sergeant Richard Jones was implicated in the ‘Intelligence Led Policing’ (ILP) program, which was criticized for unconstitutional harassment of residents. The program involved frequent, unannounced visits to individuals’ homes without probable cause, leading to a federal civil rights lawsuit. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office settled the lawsuit in December 2024, agreeing to pay $105,000 to the plaintiffs and to terminate the ILP program. Jones faced internal disciplinary actions for his role in the program.

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
