Between 2006 and 2007, Sergeant Rick Benson engaged in multiple instances of sexual misconduct against Deputy Camille Kramer. These included unwanted sexual advances, assaults, and a rape at his residence. Benson retaliated against Kramer for resisting his advances by denying her training opportunities and assigning undesirable tasks. An internal investigation was initiated, but the focus shifted to Kramer’s personal life, leading to her suspension. Benson resigned before any formal disciplinary action was taken against him. No evidence indicates he was prosecuted for his actions.
