Sergeant Todd Platt – Teton County Sheriff’s Office

Sergeant Todd Platt participated in the investigation and arrest of ‘Doe’ on charges of first-degree sexual assault. On the day of the arrest, Platt conducted a custodial interview where he made statements indicating a preconceived notion of the suspect’s guilt, such as expressing that reading the initial report ‘sealed the deal’ for him. Furthermore, Platt was involved in the release of sealed records related to a false rape allegation against former Jackson Mayor Peter Muldoon, which led to public backlash and Muldoon’s loss in a subsequent election. These incidents were detailed in the lawsuit Crothers v. Teton County Sheriff Carr, No. 22-CV-028-NDF.
