Sgt. Andrew Klein was implicated in a lawsuit filed by Sgt. Homero Almanzar in 2022. Almanzar reported that in January 2020, Klein violated departmental policies, leading to an Internal Affairs investigation that substantiated the claims. Despite this, Klein was promoted and assigned to the Internal Affairs Unit, where he allegedly conducted retaliatory investigations against Almanzar, resulting in multiple suspensions for minor infractions.
