On August 25, 2018, during the arrest of Tanner White, who was handcuffed and restrained on the ground, Sgt. Sam Cox engaged in a verbal altercation with White and subsequently kicked him in the side of the head. This action led to White experiencing a seizure shortly thereafter. Despite the severity of the incident, no disciplinary action was taken against Sgt. Cox, and the felony case against White was dismissed.
