Her estranged husband falsely accused her of being raped and having an affair with Police Chief Kim Seegmiller, leading to both being placed on administrative leave. After the truth emerged, Johnson received an oral reprimand for allowing her personal life to interfere with her duties. She later resigned, alleging the incident undermined her credibility as an officer.
