Commander Trujillo was disciplined in November 2022 for failing to oversee a detective who neglected to investigate or fully investigate numerous cases between 2019 and 2022. Trujillo received an involuntary transfer to another division, a three-day suspension without pay, and was placed on a Performance Improvement Plan.
