Tim Smith – Clarksburg Police Department

In April 2013, Lieutenant Tim Smith resigned to avoid federal prosecution for civil rights violations and making false statements to federal agents. The charges were related to his involvement in the response to a domestic battery incident involving a city councilman. Smith agreed to never seek or accept employment as a police officer again.
