Timothy Abbott – Alaska Wildlife Troopers

In November 2019, Officer Timothy Abbott submitted false information to the FAA to register a Kitfox Series 5 airplane, falsely claiming ownership through a bill of sale from a previous owner who lacked authority to sell the aircraft. After removing the plane from its location, the actual owner reported it stolen. Abbott returned the aircraft during the investigation. In November 2021, he agreed to resign from the Alaska Wildlife Troopers and permanently relinquish his law enforcement credentials as part of a pretrial diversion agreement to resolve the false statement charge.

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
