In August 2023, Corporal Timothy Robinson was charged with striking or assaulting a police service animal after allegedly beating his K9 partner, Rolf, during a training session. Witnesses reported that Robinson aggressively pulled Rolf’s leash, dragged him down stairs, and struck him multiple times after the dog urinated indoors.
