In 2019, Jamie Johnson was wrongfully arrested and detained for 18 days due to a mistaken identity based on an inaccurate NCIC check. During his detention, Johnson was placed in the ‘drunk tank,’ stripped naked, and denied proper food and clothing. He filed a lawsuit against the department, alleging violations of his Fourth and Eighth Amendment rights.
