Unnamed Deputies – Huerfano County Sheriff’s Office

In May 2021, multiple deputies at the Huerfano County Jail were involved in an incident where they repeatedly used tasers on inmate Travis Foutch, who was naked and reportedly not threatening the deputies. The incident was captured on body-worn camera footage and led to a lawsuit alleging excessive use of force. In 2023, Huerfano County settled the lawsuit for $15,000 without admitting liability. This case raised concerns about the use of force and inmate treatment within the facility.
