In 2018, two children alleged that their deputy father molested them. A doctor diagnosed both with child sexual abuse. Despite the diagnosis, the deputy was allowed to see the children again and remained employed by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office. The case has raised concerns about the department’s handling of child sex abuse allegations.
