Unnamed Detention Officer – Caddo County Sheriff’s Office

In early 2023, a detention officer at the Caddo County Jail was fired for allegedly engaging in a romantic relationship with inmate Alysia Adams, who was charged with the murder of 4-year-old Athena Brownfield. Other detention officers reported their suspicions, leading to the officer’s immediate termination. Under Oklahoma law, any sexual contact between staff and inmates is illegal, even if consensual. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation into the incident.
