Unnamed Officer – Morgan County Sheriff’s Office

In December 2024, a Morgan County Sheriff’s deputy fatally shot Drew Patterson Banks during a traffic stop. Banks was driving a stolen vehicle and, upon exiting, brandished what appeared to be a handgun, later identified as a replica. The deputy’s actions are under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. [Source: AP News, December 24, 2024]
