Unnamed Officer – San Diego Police Department

In January 2021, during a raid on an illegal gambling den, a San Diego Police officer made racially insensitive remarks, stating that his K9 would not bite a white officer as the dog only likes ‘dark meat.’ The officer also commented that handcuffs did ‘not like dark meat’ when having difficulty restraining a Hispanic woman. An internal investigation found that the officer violated departmental standards and procedures.
