Unnamed Officer – San Diego Police Department

In January 2020, a San Diego Police officer placed a life-sized cardboard cutout of rapper Rick Ross in the department’s Southeastern Division lineup room. The cutout was adorned with items suggesting stereotypes of African American males and included a caption encouraging officers to sign up for overtime. An internal investigation found the display to be offensive and not in line with departmental standards.
